Healthy Snacks: Easiest Chocolate Covered Fruit Pops

These Chocolate Covered Fruit Pops are my favorite easy snack. They feel decadent, but are actually pretty healthy. Plus, all you need to make these is 5 minutes, fruit, and some homemade magic shell, which comes together with only TWO ingredients!

No matter what fruit you use, these chocolate covered fruit pops make a perfect after-school snack, quick dessert, or fun treat for a laid-back dinner party or movie night. Like fondue, but way cooler!

 

How to make Chocolate Covered Banana Pops | One Hungry Mama

To make these chocolate covered fruit pops, start by prepping whatever fruit you plan on using. Cut the fruit into lollipop sized chunks that are at least 1/2 to 1″ thick and carefully spear the fruit pieces with a lollipop stick. Carefully lay the fruit lollies on a cookie sheet in a single layer and pop them in the freezer for about an hour.

In the meantime, make your magic shell. You’ll need 1/4 cup of coconut oil for every 1/2 cup of chocolate. (Watch the video for a quick tip on buying coconut oil!)

Once the fruit pieces are frozen and the magic shell made, it’s a simple matter of dipping, drying (which happens nearly instantly!), and serving. If you want to make these in advance, store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week.

These pops make a great snack, but they also make a great activity for after-school, a play date or even a grown up dinner party. How much fun would it be to pull out a platter of frozen fruit pieces and let your friends dip pieces in magic shell?! Love it.
