Think pie dough is hard to make? Think again! This super simple recipe makes flaky, delicious pie dough—that can easily be made ahead for the holidays—in basically 3 steps. Make a double or triple batch in 20 minutes and pack your freezer with ready-to-go dough that will cut your holiday baking time in half.

The holiday cooking season has begun! Well, at least for all of the planners in the house.

Not a planner? Guess what: you are now.

I’m about to show you how to make holiday baking a whole lot easier with my easy-to-make-ahead flaky pie dough.

One Hungry Mama Pie Dough

This recipe is incredibly simple and comes together by combining 5 ingredients in the bowl of a food processor. If you’re making this ahead, you won’t even need to do the rolling now. Just pulse, dump, roll, and wrap. When it’s time to make pie in a couple of weeks, you’ll allow the pie dough to defrost before rolling and filling. Separating these steps saves you time when you most need it: during the holiday rush.

Watch to learn how to make my simple, perfect pie dough.

Hop on over to my pie dough recipe for the specific measurements and directions, and also a photo step-by-step for transferring rolled out pie dough from your work surface to the pie plate.
