{12 Days of YUM} Green Toys Giveaway [CLOSED]

Green Toys Giveaway

Thank you to all who entered this contest. A winner has been selected: congrats to Mitzi! Stay tuned… more winners will be announced on the other 12 Days of Yum posts soon!

I’m thrilled to be launching the 12 Days of Yum with Green Toys, one of my favorite toymakers ever. That’s right people, ever. Why so enthusiastic? Well, first off, I’m a sucker for values-driven companies. I know from developing my own packaged food brand that it can be daunting to value sustainability and also be in the business of mass-producing packaged goods. But when you do it right, you do much more than just put fab new products into the world. You also create a model for a better way of doing business.

That’s exactly what Green Toys is doing. Plus they make great feeding gear and food and kitchen toys. Do they know the way to my heart, or what?

As part of the One Hungry Mama 12 Days of Yum, Green Toys is generously giving one of you lucky readers a package that includes their:

* Green Toys Pizza Parlor (nominated for a 2012 Toy of the Year award)
* Green Toys Dish Set

To be eligible to win, leave a comment by midnight on Friday 12/9 telling me and the folks at Green Toys what you’d love to see them make next. Because, in a perfect world, all of our favorite toys are Green Toys!

All Green Toys products are made primarily of recycled plastic from milk jugs in California (because, as they like to say, “Less transportation, less energy.”) They package their toys in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties. And all of their toys meet US and International safety standards with no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA.

Good luck! And be sure to regularly check all of the giveaways in this series at The 12 Days of Yum HQ

*This prize package is valued at $56.00 plus shipping and will be provided directly by Green Toys to a winner in the U.S. selected by Random.org. This is not a traditional sponsored post in that I reached out to Green Toys, not the other way around. I asked them to participate as one of my favorite brands and they kindly said yes. (Thank you, Green Toys!) I have not received anything for free in relation to this post/giveaway series and all opinions are strictly my own, thank you very much.

    I LOVE the pink and purple dumptruck by green toys. More cool things on wheels, please!

  8. Carla Harris says:

    I would love to see a vacuum. My son is 13 months and is fascinated when he sees me vacuuming. He so desperately wants to hold on/push the vacuum. I saw one made by FP, but I really don’t need another music making toy. Perhaps plastic pellets within that get tossed around—imitating the sound of debris getting picked up?

  9. Sarah Humm says:

    We have the Recycling Truck and a Digger. More Trucks! There is always room for another truck. I would love to see a building block line too!
