Barilla Holiday Giveaway prize pack

A winner has been selected. Congrats to Shiloa! And thank you to all the rest for reading and joining in the fun. Happy new year!

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Barilla. First and foremost, they make high-quality products that I use in my own kitchen. On top of that, they are a fourth-generation family owned business with a demonstrated commitment to family. The company has started “Share the Table,” a family dinner project; has commissioned a white paper on the benefits of the family dinner; has turned their site into a resource for making family meals a manageable reality; and has created Piccolini, a line of healthy pastas for children (see why my family loves Piccolini here).

Oh, and Barilla has given the One Hungry Mama community what might be the greatest gift of all time: foolproof instructions on how to cook and pre-cook (!) pasta perfectly.

Barilla believes that family dinner is vital to a healthy family life, and that food and the ways that we share it are what make a family strong. With values like that, how could they not be part of the One Hungry Mama 12 Days of Yum?!

I’m thrilled to let you know that Barilla is offering one of you lucky readers a pasta-rrific gift package including:

* Barilla Pasta! Cookbook, with foreword by Scott Conant and Massimo Bottura (I have this book—it’s gorgeous and filled with amazing recipes, many of which are irresistibly simple, in true Italian tradition!)
* Academia Barilla Extra Virgin Olive Oil (this is the good stuff!)
* Apron
* 3 jars of Barilla all-natural pasta sauces
* 5 boxes of Barilla cut pasta
* A fab, heavy-duty lined canvas tote

Barilla is one of those great brands always looking to improve and find inspiration in the real lives of their real customers. In fact, they just reformulated their sauces to have a thicker, richer texture that clings to pasta better (the Italians like to say that a sauce should “hug the pasta”). And of course, all eight of their sauces—not just one or two—are made with all-natural ingredients. So let’s give Barilla some food for future thought:

To be eligible to win, leave a comment by midnight on Saturday 12/10 telling me and our friends at Barilla your absolute favorite way to sauce pasta.

Buon Appetito, my friends. Good luck! And be sure to regularly check all of the giveaways in this series at The 12 Days of Yum HQ.

Grazie Barilla

*This prize package is valued at about $90.00 plus shipping and will be provided directly by Barilla to a winner in the U.S. selected by Random.org. This is not a traditional sponsored post in that I reached out to Barilla, a brand with which I’ve worked before—not the other way around. I asked them to participate as one of my favorite brands and they kindly said yes. (Thank you, Barilla!) I have not received anything for free in relation to this post/giveaway series and all opinions are strictly my own, thank you very much.
