There’s not much more I can say about Christina of the fab family food blog Take Back Your Table that I haven’t already said in my post on the Family Kitchen? Okay. There’s a lot more I could say, but it would just be over the top. Suffice it to say that Christina is a dear friend, a woman with a heart of gold, a cook to be reckoned with and one tough mama with serious balls. Honey balls, that is. Umm… you know… the Italian kind.
As a gift to us all, Christina has shared her recipe for Struffoli (can be shared with kids 12+ mos*), the classic Italian Christmas dessert, at The Family Kitchen.
Look at them?! How can you resist? Fried dough, bathed in honey, bedazzled with rainbow nonpareils. They are totally irresistible. And relatively easy to make, too.

*Note: Honey should not be fed to children under 12 months—even if it has been cooked!— due to risk of botulism. If you share these treats with young eaters, please consider age appropriate portions. A little of these fried sweet bites goes a long way!
