You put all the ingredients in the crock pot. You take cranberry sauce out of the crock pot.

Need I say more? (Shortest OHM post ever.)

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pear Sauce

4 cups (about 14-ounces) whole, fresh cranberries
2 pears, peeled, seeded and diced into 1/4″ pieces
1/4 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup apple cider
1 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
6 cloves
Zest of 1/2 a large orange

1. Place all of your ingredients in a crock pot and set on “High/4 hours.”

2. Remove lid and, using a wooden spoon, stir and mash the sauce. You’re not looking to make a smooth sauce, rather to pop the cranberries and break up any larger bits of pear. Pick out the cloves and cinnamon stick, and refrigerate overnight so that it has time to thicken.

    I made this last night and of course had to taste it before bringing it to my family’s Thanksgiving dinner and it was delicious! I doubled the recipe and used the OJ in lieu of the POM juice and also increased the sugar to 2 1/2 cups (since the recipe was doubled). The only addition is that I will be adding 1 cup of roughly chopped walnuts a couple of hours before serving. Thank you!
