{summer fest recipe} I’m a Pepper, You’re a Pepper

Nope. This isn’t a post about Dr. Pepper. Although, despite a general distaste for soda, every once and a while I love me a big ass draft Dr. Pepper poured over lots and lots of chippped ice.

But I digress.

Today is the first day of an extended Summer Fest (that will soon turn into Fall Fest!) with a focus on peppers. Sweet. Spicy. You name it.

I know you’re sick of hearing it, but I didn’t have time to develop a new pepper recipe for this week. It’s not what you think!! I mean, sure, yes, partly I didn’t have time because the week after you’ve been away for 10 days KICKS YOUR ASS. But there’s more to it than that. I’m working hard on a super delicious ice cream recipe for the holiday weekend, TWO contests for y’all (and they are good ones!), sharing cooking tips given to me by the fabulous Ted Allen, and some more back-to-school content. All timely stuff that I want to serve up as soon as possible.

Plus, now we have many more months of Fall Fest recipes to focus on and learn more about our favorite seasonal veggies.

In the meantime, without further ado, here are some favorite One Hungry Mama pepper recipes. Enjoy. And, as always, don’t forget to visit the other Summer Fest blogs. You can start with the hosts with recipes like Sugary Oven Roasted Peppers, Homemade Hot Sauce (yes please!) and Homemade Harissa. Then, don’t forget to follow the links that all the other many participants (like me) include in the comments on each of the host blogs. You’ll finds tons more. It’s well worth it and great fun.
