{food and learning} Kids Draw and Cook

September 4, 2010

I’m cr-a-zzzz-y about They Draw and Cook, a lovely site I found through Twig & Thistle that posts a new illustrated recipe everyday. Recipes can be submitted by anyone! Artists, designers, illustrators or just anyone who draws well. The illustrations are amazing! Some serious. Most whimsical. All about cooking good food. It’s addictive, and now they have a Kids Draw and Cook.

Hysterical. So much fun!

Just like the original site, drawings by anyone 16 or under can be submitted. So, if you have a recipe illustrated by your child, send it in. If you don’t, what great inspiration for a weekend project!

Thanks for sharing such a great find. My son just helped me transcribe a recipe the other night for our white bean chicken chili and it looks much like this. My 4YO daughter did her best to draw ingredients for a recent chocolate cake but it’s the kind of drawing that only a mama could interpret!

Wow! This is great for many reasons but what an awesome way for little ones to feel like they got “published”. It really creates a reason for writing. I might blog about this on my early literacy blog. I’ll link back to you!

  4. Enough reasons for you to believe the fact that these steam codes and keys are equally working and are a must to get simple by visiting the best website that offers it.
